7th Annual Love Hangover Conference Do The Write Thing: Answering God’s Call Saturday, June 16, 2007 My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.—Psalm 46:1 Are you ready to Do the Write Thing? Is writing a passion or something that you’d like to explore? In order to do the write thing, you have to do the right thing and answer the Right Call…God’s Call. Have an idea that you’d like to write about…but not sure how to get started? Join us at this dynamic workshop that will bring out the successful writer in you. Registration/Breakfast 8:30 am – 8:55 am Session 1 9:00 am – 10:00 am Do the Write Thing – Recognizing the Call (God…Is that You?) Do you recognize God’s calling…or do you ignore his urgings? Writing a book, a poem, a movie script or even a journal entry works best when we hear God. Discover how your ability to write is directly tied into your ability to recognize the voice of God. Session 2 10:05 am - 11:05 am Do the Write Thing – Answering God’s Call (Will Your Answer be Yes, No…or Maybe?) Writing, whether a hobby or profession, is a process that may humble, frustrate or motivate you. Explore how the first step in the process is starting out with the right answer. Session 3 11:15 am – 12:15 pm Do the Right Thing – Ending the Call the Right Way (You’ve Said Yes to God…Now What?) How will saying yes to God will affect your relationships. Realize how writing can be a joyous experience and not an isolated burden on your relationships. Panel Discussion and Lunch 12:25 pm -1:30 pm Do the Right Thing – Stop Treating God Like Your Cell Phone! We hear God…see that he’s calling but decide to return the call later, when it’s more convenient for us. Find out from an expert panel the rich blessings that come from answering God’s call.
